Assist in flight and range support, scoring of missions, radio communications, target prep and fabrication. Receive initial instructions, equipment requirements and advice from the Lead Engineering Technician. Performs recurring work independently. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy by the Lead Engineering Technician. Work is checked in progress or on completion.
Perform related work as required.
Typical environment to include working outdoors in extreme hot or cold weather, on elevated heights, remote work areas, attending meetings, constant use of accurate sight/speech/hearing abilities, constant mental alertness. Ability to use a computer to input/retrieve information and data.
Ability to travel as required by the company.
|Experience/Education Required||High School graduate or equivalent.
Candidate must have the ability to communicate tactfully and effectively, to follow instructions and take direction in carrying out job requirements, and to achieve a Range Control Officer Certification.
Candidate must have the ability to perform physical tasks including, but not limited to, moderate lifting (50 pounds), to work outdoors in all types of weather and to work split shifts or overtime on short notice.
Experience or training in computers, construction, fabrication/metal working, use of hand and power tools, welding processes, i.e. Arc/Mig/Tig and use of a cutting torch is a plus.
Mechanical abilities and experience assembling or installing equipment or parts is a plus.
