Provide System Administrator support for assigned boundaries as defined below:
Configure IT systems using security technical implementation guides in accordance with NAVAIR NAWCWD Range Department Weapons Division Hardening Policy. Provide IT patch updates in accordance with NAVAIR NAWCWD Range Department Weapons Division Hardening Requirements.
Perform system vulnerability scans, fix, or mitigate vulnerabilities and report to system IAO. Provide system information and diagrams required for C&A packages. Attend meetings, conduct internal system reviews, and provide documentation and information for information system inspections and audits. Provide Information Assurance analysis for system changes/development through formal or informal configuration management boards, meetings, and processes. Attend scheduled NAVAIR NAWCWD Range Department, NAWC Command, and NAWS Security Working Groups and security related meetings. Collect information for command reporting requirements and IA related data call requirements, and IA related data calls. Assist the Information Assurance Officer in ensuring that all Range Systems comply with NAVIAR IA requirements. Ensure all Information Systems are operated, maintained, documented, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices outline in the NAVIAR Information Security Policies (DoDD 8500 Series). The System Administrator- 1 processes a range of scheduled routines. In addition to administrating the system and resolving common error conditions, this worker diagnoses and acts on machine stoppage and error conditions not fully covered by existing procedures and guidelines (e.g., resetting switches and other controls or making mechanical adjustments to maintain or restore equipment operations). In response to computer output instructions or error conditions, the System Administrator - 1 may deviate from standard procedures if standard procedures do not provide a solution and refers problems which do not respond to corrective procedures to a person of supervisory or higher individual contributor level.
|Experience/Education Required||3 - 4 Years of Systems Administration related experience.
Education: A minimum of an Associate of Science is required. Candidate must have a thorough understanding of computers, Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Excellent communication skills, strong team values. Security + Certification, and OS Certification is required.
